Rotary and Blood Bank Society Resource Centre started in July 2004
The Rotary and Blood Bank Society Resource Centre (The Blood Centre) is a joint venture between the Chandigarh Rotary Club Service Trust and the Blood Bank Society of Chandigarh with its registered office located at The Blood Centre, Sector 37A, Chandigarh.
The Blood Centre is the only NGO run, not for profit Blood Centre in the Chandigarh area which provides blood and its components to patients from Punjab, Haryana and Himachal, 24 hours, 7days a week.
Processing fees as set by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India are charged. However blood is provided free of cost for patients below the poverty line and those suffering from
thalassemia, haemophilia, cancer and any other blood dyscrasia requiring repeated blood transfusions.

The Blood Centre will provide safe blood access to all, without discrimination of caste or creed.
Constitution
The Chandigarh Rotary Club Service Trust and the Blood Bank Society Chandigarh jointly established the Rotary & Blood Bank Society Resource Centre (The Blood Centre – RBBSRC) with the sole aim to promote Voluntary blood donation and serve the human kind without any discrimination.
